Fawwaz Hafizh
I’m an undergraduate student at the University of Chicago, aspiring to double major in Political Science and Economics. Born and raised in Indonesia, I have always loved to draw and design. But in more recent years, I am also interested in project management, public relations, writing, and research.

Background
Education
I attended high school in SMA Pradita Dirgantara, a new high school affiliated with the Indonesian Air Force. After receiving a full scholarship and being a valedictorian, I graduated in May 2021 with a satisfying GPA and lots of experience. Currently, I’m a part of the University of Chicago Class of 2025. Proud to be Maroons!
Volunteering
I’m very excited to join volunteer activities! I became a volunteer in my high school’s 2019 Admission Test where I proctored multiple sessions and gave a tour around the school. In October 2021, I joined the UChicago Fall Open House as a volunteer to greet incoming families with souvenirs and an info brochure. More recently in September 2022, I participated in the International Pre-Orientation program as a Navigator on campus to assist international students transitioning into college life. Aside from school-related volunteering, I also helped my father’s medical supply store, Sono Medika, with packing items and designing advertisements.
Certification
I received a Microsoft Office Specialist certification for PowerPoint 2013 in July 2019. This means I have a fundamental and independent ability to use PowerPoint, recognized internationally by Pearson Testing.
